To enhance the Hybrid rack even more and to satisfy all tastes we are now introducing veneered shelves in Cherry, Oak and Walnut. The veneer is of the same high quality as in the Radius rack system. With these shelves the console is attached from the bottom meaning that there will be no visible screw heads. In-between the shelf and the console is also attached a piece of cork that aims to absorb even more any external and internal vibrations. Picture shows a 4-shelf example design with pillars in Silver anodized aluminium.

The Concrete material is selected due to its excellent audio characteristics and high density that will increase the rack's stability. Unlike the body of a musical instrument, good audio racks should not vibrate, as modern drivers today render the full sound spectrum linearly. But if the rack itself does vibrate due to its construction or materials, then those vibrations affect performance by amplifying or diminishing certain sympathetic frequencies within the sound spectrum. It is a complicated physical process with a simple and clearly audible consequence.

• Concrete is very heavy that will give the rack more stability
• Its weight and high density prevent it from vibrating
• Concrete is irregularly structured that will prevent vibrations to be spread

Concrete is also a beautiful natural material that works in most house styles, modern as well as classic. There are no visible screw heads and the consoles are isolated with cork to avoid any potential tone or “singing". Each shelf is handmade and will thus slightly differ from one another.

The veneer is of the same high quality as in the Radius rack system. With the veneered, concrete and Carbon shelves the console is attached from the bottom meaning that there will be no visible screw heads. The black and white painted MDF shelves are attached from above. Measures: 490x435, 19mm  Concrete: 22mm thickness  

Hybrid integrated isolation system is mounted on top of the Hybrid corner pillars in order to decouple from any undesired vibrations. The isolators are available in 2 versions, for 8-60kg load and for 8-180kg load.

The Hybrid Isolation shelf has an inbuilt unsurpassed isolation system that isolate each level from each other as well as from the floor.
Hybrid Isolation shelf isolate the equipment from vibration using two shelves with a mechanical suspension system in-between.
The advantage of the Hybrid Isolation Shelf is that each module will be individually isolated and the rack will keep its stability.

The Hybrid Isolation Shelf comes with a spring system that contains as many as 28 springs in total and can bear a maximum weight of 46kg. Customers can easily adjust the amount of springs in order to optimize the isolation and adapt to the equipment weight. Below is a measurement analysis of the shelf that shows the damping efficiency.

The Isolation shelves can be used in both Hybrid standard, Hybrid Full Length as well as Hybrid Wood system.

The bottom shelf is available in the following configurations:

• Bottom shelf: black and white
• The top shelf: black, white, walnut, cherry, oak and black oak

The Hybrid Isolation shelf-kit HD has an inbuilt unsurpassed isolation system that isolates each level from each other as well as from the floor.
Hybrid Isolation shelf-kit HD isolates the equipment from vibration using two shelves with a mechanical suspension system in-between.
The advantage is that each module will be individually isolated and the rack will keep its stability.

The HD variant is made to withstand even higher loads than the isolation shelf-kit. The integrated isolation system in the Isolation shelf-kit HD is even more efficient as it is based on tension spring compared to compression spring used in the Isolation shelf-kit.

The Hybrid Isolation Shelf-kit HD comes with a spring system that contains as many as 48 springs in total and can bear a maximum load of 90kg (24 springs) or 180kg (48 springs). It is easy to adjust the amount of springs in order to optimize the isolation efficiency.

The Isolation shelf-kit HD can be used in both Hybrid standard, Hybrid Full Length as well as Hybrid Wood.

Size of the shelf is 435mm x 495mm x 60-70mm.

The hybrid 180 mm sideboard is a perfect compliment to the Hybrid rack. The multi usage purpose of the sideboard are for example: holder of RIA amp, CDs, remote controls, etc... The sideboard can be on either side of the rack and fully adjustable in height just like the normal Hybrid shelfs are. The sideboard is available in black, white and veneers in oak, black oak, walnut and cherry. The sideboard can be combined with any extrusion colour.

Hybrid top table is available in black and white MDF or veneered sandwich board.

Black and white painted board

Texture painted MDF with Spirit Level for easy leveling. Size is 695 x 520 x 22mm and weight is 6 kg. When only supported in the corners max recommended load is 60kg. However if the Hybrid’s top most shelf is raised and supports are placed between the Hybrid shelf and Top Table Shelf the load can be 125kg.

Veneered sandwich board

The Veneered sandwich board is available in oak, black oak, cherry and walnut. To the new Hybrid Wood corner pillars is also new turntable developed. These new turntables are made of a sandwich board that have been veneered in black oak, oak, walnut and cherry. The sandwich board consists of 4 layers:

• Layer 1: thin sheet of cork on the top to avoid any potential ringing in the table
• Layer 2: MDF
• Layer 3: Porous damp layer that will absorb and remove resonance in the table
• Layer 4: MDF

The board has been tested by letting a 9,8g steel ball be dropped 50 cm above the sandwich board and compared with a standard MDF board. The result is described in below table:

From the result one can read that the sandwich board basically damp with 10-13dB compared to a standard MDF board. The large top tables have a limitation of load as it is placed on top of the corner pillars of the Rack of Silence. The maximum load is 50kg. If further load is required it is recommended to place the uppermost rack shelf just beneath it and use the apparatus support to assist the support of the table. In this way the maximum load can be increased to 160kg.

Hybrid corner pillars are sold in pairs and available in many alternatives. To estimate the height needed you need to consider that the extruded console is possible to move along the full corner pillar height.

Hybrid Duo top table is available in black and white. Size is 1310 x 516 x 22mm and weight is 13,5 kg. Max recommended load is 120kg evenly distributed over the table.  

Measurements of the Hybrid rack series

The block design does not only offfer endless flexibility but also ensures effective isolation between every shelf for enhanced performance. Externally as well as internally born resonances and vibrations are effectively reduced by the felt-padded isolation disc made from brass which create the necessary joint which stops the expansion of unwanted movements (resonances/vibrations)
